Know what's Split Ticketing and How it can Help?

People often travel from trains and they spend on them as much as they spend on other things. They must buy the tickets at the general price as there are no bargains in railways. But do you know you can switch to a technique that can help to get the tickets at a lesser price? If you are a UK resident, you must have the experience of how traveling is important for you. At a place full of rush, you need to travel to different parts of the city to get your things done. So, you can adopt a technique called Ticket Splitting

Most of the population of the UK are familiar with the term but most of them are not. They are still stuck to the traditional way of ticket booking. If you are one of them, then you should know that split train tickets can let you travel to a destination at a very less price. The general tickets you buy are way more expensive than split tickets. You do not even need to pay that much amount for the tickets. It is better to be aware of options for ticket booking so that you book them the right way and spend a limited amount.

Split ticketing is a method that splits your one ticket into parts. For a single journey, you travel on more than one ticket. If you travel from a train, it stops on various stations and there are a lot of intermediate stations. You just book the direct ticket as you like to go directly to your destination instead of getting up from your seats and changing platforms. That is the only reason why direct tickets are costlier. You can book your tickets for the stations that connect your journey and at which your train stops.

Suppose your train stops at two intermediate stations. You are traveling from station A to D and it stops on B and C. Instead of booking a direct ticket from A to D, you also have an option to book a ticket from A to B, B to C and then station C to D. It's reasonable because the small routes will cost you less than a long route. That is how you split your ticket and end up saving a lot of money. This technique is legal as per the National Conditions of Railway, so you can make it a habit without any hesitation.
